Welcome to Vash Tutoring

Hi! I’m Vash. I know thinking about exams can be really scary. I’ve been there, only just recently, so I get it. I’m hoping with the right support, you’ll be able to reach your predicted grade. When I was home-schooled, the support of my tutors really helped me.

I’m a 19 year old straight A* student and soon-to-be Physics undergraduate. My passion is Sciences, especially Physics.

  • I have a wide variety of volunteering experiences from a young age and have received excellent references.

One of my most rewarding roles was for a special service that had been set up by the charity, Mums in Need (MIN) during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The service users of MIN were Mums and children who had escaped domestic abuse. The service I was a part of, offered tuition via Zoom for home schooled children.

I was 15 at the time and I managed this role independently; communicating with my students, organising myself and creating lesson plans. I taught Maths and Sciences during this period.

Since then, I have been working as a part-time, self-employed tutor to save up for university. I taught GCSE students and helped them prepare for their exams.

  • My educational journey has been a controversial and unconventional one. I went to school until year 5. Due to some difficulties, I experienced, I decided to leave school. With the support of my Mum and some amazing tutors, I was home schooled for 3 years.

This time helped me to reconnect with my passion for learning and studies, especially Sciences. By my own choice, I decided to study towards my GCSEs at the age of 11. This led me to taking my first set of GCSEs as a private candidate (Physics and Chemistry) at the age of 13 and I passed both. I got an A in Physics and a B in Chemistry.

After 3 years of being home-schooled, I chose to go to College to complete my remaining GCSE's. I studied Higher Tier Triple Sciences, including Physics and Chemistry, but with a different examining board this time. I got 5 A* (8), 1 A (7), and a Distinction * In Engineering Manufacture Level 2 (BTEC).

For Post-16, I specialised in Sciences, and completed an OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Certificate in Engineering, receiving a Distinction *. I also studied A-Levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry with results pending.

The next step in my journey is to study B.Sc Physics at a reputable RG university, where I will be specialising in Particle Physics and Cosmology.

My dream is to pursue a job at CERN one day and work on Physics research there.

  • I have complex and multiple additional needs and hidden disabilities, including being neurodivergent. This means, I can relate to the struggles of students with additional needs, SEN and neurodiversity. I will take any additional needs into account when teaching.

If there is anything, I need to be extra mindful of, e.g. speaking slowly, repeating instructions, breaking instructions down into smaller chunks or giving you more time to process information, please just let me know. I will do my best to accommodate you with patience, compassion, empathy and with a non-judgemental approach.
